SBI Invites Applications for 14,959 Clerk Vacancies; Qualification: Graduation, 451 Vacancies in Kerala

State Bank of India (SBI) has announced 14,959 vacancies for Junior Associate (Customer Support and Sales) posts in the clerical cadre. Eligible candidates can apply online until January 7. The notification includes 13,735 current vacancies and 1,224 backlog vacancies, with 451 vacancies in Kerala, including backlog positions.

Candidates can apply for vacancies in only one state, and proficiency in the official or local language of the applied state (reading, writing, speaking, and understanding) is mandatory.

• Salary: ₹24,050–₹64,450
• Qualification: Graduation in any discipline or equivalent (as of December 31, 2024).
• Age: 20–28 years as of April 1, 2024 (age relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for persons with disabilities, and additional relaxation for ex-servicemen).

Selection Process: Preliminary and Main exams will be conducted online. The preliminary exam, scheduled for February, will be a one-hour test with 100 objective questions from English Language, Numerical Ability, and Reasoning Ability. Centers in Kerala include Kochi, Kottayam, Idukki, Alappuzha, Kollam, Kannur, Palakkad, Thrissur, Kozhikode, Thiruvananthapuram, Pathanamthitta, and Malappuram. Questions will also be available in Malayalam.

The main exam, scheduled for March-April, will also follow an objective pattern. A language test will be conducted to verify local language proficiency unless candidates provide proof of studying the local language up to Class 10 or 12 (mark sheet/certificate). Selected candidates will undergo a six-month probation period.
